Brown tumors revealing primary hyperparathyroidism: It still exists

Hyperparathyroidism is a frequent endocrinopathy, often diagnosed at the stage of subclinical hypercalcemia by systematic calcium measurement and advent new parathyroid hormone techniques. Brown tumors represent late-onset, locally aggressive but potentially benign non-metastatic bone complication secondary to an abnormality metabolism within context hyperparathyroidism. It usually late complication, rarely revealing. We report 2 clinical cases primary hyperparathyroidism revealed brown tumor, complicated in one case pathological fracture. The aim our work underline importance looking for every lytic lesion, given insidious nature this thus preventing fractures improving functional quality life.
